A wedding card...
A couple weeks ago a friend of ours got married and so I had an opportunity to make them a card. Of course I had to use my silhouette! I cut out the words ''happy I Do day'' from Nena cardstock and adhered them with tombow mono multi glue. The burlap is actually a burlap paper made by DCWV. I love it! The butterflies are from an embosslit made by StampinUp and the leaves are a punch by Martha Stewart.
Personally I think the photo looks a little on the green side, but in true life the paper and butterflies were turquoise ( the wedding colors).
I really enjoyed making this card and hope the newlyweds enjoyed their beautiful day.
Hugs, Michelle

It's been a while...
Sorry I haven't posted in a long while. Blogger has been giving me fits when I try to load a photo. :(
But that hasn't kept me from making cards! No way!
Here is a birthday card that I made for a little friend at church. His birthday was last week. I saw the idea on Pinterest. (my best friend! lol)
I have tons of other photos that I will try to upload, maybe if I whisper sweet nothings to Blogger, it will play nice? lol
I hope ya'll have a great day!

Sketch #225 at Operation Write Home...
Today is my regular day off and I spent most of the day playing in my craft room. (of course!)
Sunday, over at Operation Write Home, they posted sketch #225 and as usual, I love it! The inspiration card is just gorgeous! I am partial to the patriotic look and stars and stripes, so I stayed with that theme with my card.
So enough of all that chatty-ness....
Here is my take on the sketch for this week...
As always, if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them.
I hope yall have a great evening!

Shake, shake, shake...
I had a little fun with a shaker card today.
This was my first ever shaker card. I had so much fun! Ya'll know I love me some washi tape and have plenty of it! So I used three different ones that I had in my stash, on the background. The sequins that are behind the acetate are red, white/iridescent and black. Then I used a stamp from Stampin up's Flower shop and the matching punch to add a little accent to the bottom left of the card.
It did turn out a little busy, but I still like it.
I will for sure be making some more shaker cards in the future. :)

A little drawing in Silhouette Studio...
I just uploaded another ''how to'' video to YouTube.
his time you can see how to draw your own card front design in Silhouette Studio like this card that I made today...
I found this card idea on pinterest and like all things pinterest, I loved it! So I opened up my Silhouette Studio and went to work on trying to figure out how to make one myself. Any time I do that , I love to share with anyone willing to watch my videos.

Fun with mini albums...
I've been bit by the mini album bug again! This time it is a Halloween one. I don't celebrate Halloween personally, but I am just adoring this paper line by Teresa Collins called Masquerade Party. And of course I had to use my Silhouette Cameo to cut out some cute Halloween images.
I just finished it and uploaded a flip-thru video to YouTube HERE. Stop by leave a comment letting me know you stopped in to watch my video. Thanks!
Have a good night everyone!

I tend to shop a ''little'' too much...
Do you?
I live in a little place where there isn't a lot of craft shopping available so I tend to shop online.
Today I got an order from Joann.com and I just can't wait to ink up my new stamps!
I did a small haul video if you would like to see.

Another Stampin Up Card, but first a story...
I do have a card for you today, but first...a story:
Saturday was quite the adventure around my house!
As I was leaving to go to a Stampin' Up card making party my 14 year old asked if she could go to her friend's house (across the street). I said, ''If you feed your cat, then yes, you may go.''
I left for the party only to get a phone call about ten minutes into it.... It was my neighbor from across the street... Somehow, my daughter managed to bend down, feed her cat, then turn to RUN up the stairs, only to crack her head on the very end of the wooden handrail! OUCH!
My daughter says, she hit the handrail so hard that her bottom jar clamped shut, rather hard! So she instantly thought to grab her bottom jaw and moan. Almost just as instantly, her hand flew to her head in reaction to the pain on top of her head. And do you suppose she found? Yep, blood.
Her only thought was to go get the ''neighbor lady'' to get her to call Mom!
I came home, took my daughter to the ER and she was given 3 stitches in the top of her head without one single complaint from her. She's one tough cookie!
What an adventure!
Without further rambling...here is one of the cards that was made at the card making party that I missed most of! lol

I hope you all...
I hope everyone had a lovely Easter!
This card was made with the Stampin Up stamp set called Flower Shop.
I like how the little black strip makes the side panel "pop".

Makeshift modeling paste...
So, I watch A LOT of YouTube videos...I mean A LOT! :)
Well, in one of Thefrugralcrafter videos she said you could use white window caulk in the place of embossing/modeling paste! WHAT!? How great is that!
So I tried it... and not only did it work great, it's way cheaper!
Ok, so I also came across this young man's blog and just had to share... http://thegreencricut.blogspot.com/2014/04/hogs-and-kisses-cricut-pig-card-giveaway.html
He used embossing paste and while it was still wet he sprinkled on some embossing powder, let it dry completely and then heat embossed it. Did you see his adorable card? I think it looks great! So I had to try it for myself! :)
Here is my go at using white caulk as embossing paste and silver embossing powder TOO!
(oh and for the backgrounds in these cards, I tried out my new distress markers too. I scribbled on my craft mat and then spritz it with water, then smooshed some water color paper around on it and tada! )
