Happy Halloween

Every holiday my Great-Nephew asks his “Golly” (That’s Me!) for treat bags/boxes to take to school for his class party.
This Halloween I made these adorable little round boxes...

I used a couple of different files to cut these out with my Silhouette Cameo3.
Then added the Green Nuvo Crystal Drops around the tops for a little “pop” of color.
If course the little spiders wouldn’t be complete without google eyes!

I hope everyone has a great Halloween!
Stay safe,
Michelle

You're Amazing

Remember that!  You're Amazing!

Today's card is a matchbook fold styled card with little Spellbinder cacti adorning the bottom flap.

I felt like the two strips of gold washi tape gave it a little something to draw the eye to.  This Spellbinders die set is just too cute for words!
I hope this card make the recipient smile as much as I did while I made it.
Thanks for visiting today and stay crafty my friends!

Hello friends,
I recently discovered the wonder of Tonic Studios' Nuvo Crystal Drops ❤️
Would you look at how beautifully rounded they dry?  And they come in an amazing rainbow of colors!
I do not have every color they offer but I did buy "a few" Haha.
They are much more affordable than enamels dots...for me anyway.

I purchased these from Joann.com   but search around for the best price 😉

Hello friends,
Today I have a card that I made for a sweet little girl that I've known since she was born. We call her Katie bug, so it's only fitting that I make her a ladybug card ☺️.
I used my Silhouette Cameo3 to make this and used a Lori Whitlock file from the Silhouette Design Store.

This card was so much fun to make and getting to see my little friend's face when she received it, was even better!
I hope you are all well and have a great week ahead!
Happy crafting,
Michelle

Instagram...

I didn't disappear all together completely.  I have been over on Instagram posting photos because it's a bit quicker and I can do it on the run.
Won't you come see My Instagram Page ?
Crafting has not stopped, but neither has life :)
Love you to you all!

I'm Back!

Hello Friends!
Remember Me?  HaHa, probably not!
Wow, 2015 had some pretty crazy ups and downs for my family.  I am working on typing up a summary of how the year went after May of 2015.  (That seems to be when I ''dropped of the face of the earth!" lol)

When I get it finished I will post a link in my regular blog post and let you all know where to go to read it.  It won't be a regular post, but I will make it a page on the blog to keep it separate so if anyone doesn't care to read it...they don't have to.  :-)

On to more fun stuff!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I have been playing around with a ''new to me'' die that I found in the clearance isle at one of the craft stores here in town.
It's the "Where Women Cook" Milk Carton Box die by Sizzix. (item # 559196)  It was marked down from $29.99 to $9.99!  Nice!

Here are some of the little boxes I made with this gem!

I left the bottoms open so that candy and prizes can be put inside and then I will close them up.

I think they are just too cute!
What do you think?
The possibilities are endless with this die.  I can't wait to try out other ideas!

Until next time my friends,
Michelle,

Welcome Baby

I've been offline for a while, but I've not stopped crafting!

My latest project was a gift for our new Youth Pastor and his wife. They recently had a beautiful baby girl and have decorated her room with Dr. Seuss decor.

This is what I made for little baby Ginny...

A wedding card...

A couple weeks ago a friend of ours got married and so I had an opportunity to make them a card.  Of course I had to use my silhouette!  I cut out the words ''happy I Do day'' from Nena cardstock and adhered them with tombow mono multi glue.  The burlap is actually a burlap paper made by DCWV.  I love it!  The butterflies are from an embosslit made by StampinUp and the leaves are a punch by Martha Stewart.
Personally I think the photo looks a little on the green side, but in true life the paper and butterflies were turquoise ( the wedding colors).

I really enjoyed making this card and hope the newlyweds enjoyed their beautiful day.

Hugs, Michelle

It's been a while...

Sorry I haven't posted in a long while. Blogger has been giving me fits when I try to load a photo. :(

But that hasn't kept me from making cards! No way!
Here is a birthday card that I made for a little friend at church. His birthday was last week.  I saw the idea on Pinterest. (my best friend! lol)

I have tons of other photos that I will try to upload, maybe if I whisper sweet nothings to Blogger, it will play nice?  lol

I hope ya'll have a great day!

Sketch #225 at Operation Write Home...

Today is my regular day off and I spent most of the day playing in my craft room.  (of course!)

Sunday, over at Operation Write Home, they posted sketch #225 and as usual, I love it!  The inspiration card is just gorgeous!  I am partial to the patriotic look and stars and stripes, so I stayed with that theme with my card.
So enough of all that chatty-ness....
Here is my take on the sketch for this week...

As always, if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them.
I hope yall have a great evening!

Shake, shake, shake...

I had a little fun with a shaker card today.

This was my first ever shaker card.  I had so much fun!  Ya'll know I love me some washi tape and have plenty of it!  So I used three different ones that I had in my stash, on the background.  The sequins that are behind the acetate are red, white/iridescent and black.  Then I used a stamp from Stampin up's Flower shop and the matching punch to add a little accent to the bottom left of the card.

It did turn out a little busy, but I still like it.

I will for sure be making some more shaker cards in the future. :)

A little drawing in Silhouette Studio...

I just uploaded another ''how to'' video to YouTube.

his time you can see how to draw your own card front design in Silhouette Studio like this card that I made today...
I found this card idea on pinterest and like all things pinterest, I loved it!  So I opened up my Silhouette Studio and went to work on trying to figure out how to make one myself.  Any time I do that , I love to share with anyone willing to watch my videos.

You can find the video here...

Fun with mini albums...

I've been bit by the mini album bug again!  This time it is a Halloween one.  I don't celebrate Halloween personally, but I am just adoring this paper line by Teresa Collins called Masquerade Party.  And of course I had to use my Silhouette Cameo to cut out some cute Halloween images.

I just finished it and uploaded a flip-thru video to YouTube HERE.  Stop by leave a comment letting me know you stopped in to watch my video.  Thanks!

Have a good night everyone!

A little split card...

I went to another StampinUp card making party this past Saturday and the hostess made the most adorable split card using Flower Shop stamp set.

So this is my take on the card.
